BlockPI Testnet #1 Recap-2

This is a recap of BlockPI Incentivized Testnet #1 since it is going to close at the end of this month. Let us show you what happened and the next step of BlockPI Network.

Summary

Klaytn Mainnet Cypress is the first public chain that BlockPI has integrated with, then Polygon Mainnet follows. We were amazed by the passion of the community. Far more node operators expressed interest than expected. We could only admit a fraction of qualified node operators selecting by their github, website information and contributions to other networks etc.

Meanwhile, we had held an OAT Campaign for community members to mark the launch of the BlockPI testnet, and the activity was a success.

Here is how it looks like by the end of the testnet.

Improvements

After three major version upgrades and numerous minor updates of HyperNode applications and algorithm enhancements, there are huge improvements on the performance and stability both on Klaytn Mainnet Cypress and Polygon during the testnet. We also did couples of stress tests with BlockPI community. The results are quite satisfying, especially the interval latency. The median interval latency is only 47ms, the result is achieved under an extreme concurrency condition.

If you missed BlockPI testnet #1, and you still want to be part of BlockPI. Don’t worry! There will be BlockPI Testnet #2, which will come with unique features and more challenges. The details are to be announced. Stay tuned!

Next stop: BlockPI Alpha-net

After the three months testnet as preparation, BlockPI Alpha-net is coming soon. It will be a more stable version and ready for production environment. You will be able to enjoy the high quality service on Klaytn Mainnet Cypress, Klaytn Testnet Baobab and Polygon Mainnet. And more chains are coming!
