Base Infrastructure:
build for the next generation of applications on Base

Base (chain ID 8453) is Coinbase's OP Stack Layer 2, it is a primary unchain venue for its retail users, USDC and payments. BlockPI provides enterprise-grade RPC service, archive-ready Ethereum JSON-RPC,WebSocket, and Flashblocks on both Mainnet and Sepolia.

WHY BASE, WHY BLOCKPI

Built for the Base Economy

BlockPI's high-performance RPC infrastructure is built for applications operating at scale on Base — from DeFi and payments to AI agents and onchain applications.

DeFi & Trading
High-frequency reads, transaction submission, real-time state updates and MEV-aware transaction delivery.
Payments & Stablecoins
Reliable RPC infrastructure for payment applications, stablecoin transfers and high-volume transaction processing.
AI Agents
Real-time blockchain access and transaction infrastructure for autonomous agents operating on Base.
Consumer Apps
Scalable infrastructure for wallets, social applications, gaming and other high-volume consumer experiences.
Infrastructure & Developer Platforms
Dedicated RPC, archive access and customized infrastructure for teams building critical infrastructure on Base.
Built for Base

Built for Base.
Proven at Scale.

Base has become one of the most active environments for onchain applications. BlockPI's distributed RPC infrastructure is designed to handle high-volume workloads with consistent performance and reliability.

WebSocket
Streaming WebSocket subscriptions
✓eth_subscribe push channels: newHeads, logs, newPendingTransactions and syncing
✓eth_newFilter and eth_getFilterChanges for historical and incremental logs, paired with subscriptions
✓Same interface and coverage on mainnet and Sepolia; subscriptions clear with the connection
Data depth
Archive & Trace
✓Archive — from-genesis history and full-range eth_getLogs for reconciliation, audits and backfills.
✓Trace — debug_traceTransaction, debug_traceCall, debug_traceBlockByNumber and debug_traceBlockByHash on your key.
Flashblocks-ready

Flashblocks-ready infrastructure

Base's sequencer emits a preconfirmation sub-block every 200 ms within each 2-second standard block window. The RPC layer has to keep that rhythm — otherwise the 200 ms advantage never reaches your app.

10 sub-blocks→1 standard block→
200 ms pre-confirmation
01 · REAL TIMEAccess real-time Base transaction and state updates
◆newHeads follows Flashblocks preconfirmation blocks — chain-head changes arrive at 200 ms intervals, not once every 2 seconds.
◆Log subscriptions stream incrementally per sub-block, cutting event-latency by an order of magnitude — arbitrage, liquidations and pricing can react earlier.
◆newPendingTransactions surfaces txs as they hit the sequencer — useful for mempool observation and pre-emptive risk decisions.
02 · STABLE CONNECTIONNo dropped subscriptions, no missed blocks
At 200 ms, each 2-second window carries 10x more subscriptions and packets — the part that fails first is connection management, not the node.
◆No dropped subscriptions.
Connections stay open under load; we don't tear them down or kill subscriptions when traffic spikes.
◆No missed blocks.
eth_getBlockByNumber fills any range directly — no rescanning from genesis.
03 · WHY IT MATTERSHigh-frequency streaming exposes RPC failures
10xsubscriptions & packets in a 2-second window
200msone blip drops several sub-blocks
0sub-blocks needing client-side fork logic
We return a chain head that is always on the canonical path — forks are resolved server-side, not in your code.

Infrastructure beyond RPC:
BlockPI dedicated Base nodes, build for peak traffic

Consumer payments, mints and trading bots fire without warning. Shared, rate-limited endpoints throttle exactly at peak. BlockPI gives your account a dedicated bare-metal machine — exclusively yours — on a production network that already carries Base at scale.

Why shared endpoints cannot keep up with Base

Burst capacityAbsorbs spikesPayment, mint and trading bursts hit without warning. A dedicated machine takes the spike that shared endpoints drop.
Payment settlementSteady under loadUSDC and payment flows need consistent, low-latency responses — not best-effort capacity that degrades when everyone else is busy.
Full historyArchive from genesisHistorical state and full-range eth_getLogs for reconciliation, audits and compliance — not a rolling window.
Audit readyTrace methods ondebug_traceBlockByNumber, debug_traceCall, debug_traceTransaction and debug_traceBlockByHash on your capacity.
